Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom have separated following allegations that the NBA player has been battling a hard-core drug addiction for years, reports TMZ.
Sources told the website that while neither party has yet to contact a lawyer or taken a step toward divorce, the 29-year-old reality star effectively declared a separation when she threw Odom out of the house on Wednesday when he refused to seek help for his addiction.
According to TMZ, Odom has been battling a crack cocaine addiction for at least two years, which sources say Kardashian has been dealing with on her own and hiding her pain from her family. While her mother, Kris Jenner, knew about Odom's problem for a longer period of time, her sisters Kourtney and Kim reportedly only came to know of his alleged drug use very recently.
For months, there have been rumors that the couple's marriage has been on the rocks, and after two women came forward to claim they had affairs with Odom it appeared as though it was a classic case of infidelity, but these new drug addiction allegations have thrown everyone for a loop.
On Friday, a somber-looking Kardashian was spotted leaving the gym without her wedding ring -- another sign that many take to mean her almost four-year marriage to Odom is really over.
