Khloe Kardashian Opens Up About Lamar Odom Struggles On 'Keeping Up With The Kardashians' (VIDEO)

Khloe Kardashian/Lamar Odom Marital Drama Hits 'Kardashians'

After months of speculation in the media about the marital status of Khloe Kardashian and Lamar Odom, "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" finally addressed the issue. While they didn't explicitly go into what is going on with the couple, or directly address Lamar's alleged drug problem, the show did feature a series of phone calls between the couple that suggested the NBA star was struggling through something.

“There’s a lot of emotional issues I think Lamar has," Khloe told the cameras. "There’s only so much anybody can take."

While the show didn't delve too deeply into Lamar's side of things, Khloe was on-hand to help viewers understand how she was trying to reach him. "Lamar, he is a very depressed person, which is sad," she said. "It’s really scary when someone’s in such a deep low, and you know they’re kind of relying on you to get them out and you’re trying, and you’re trying, and you’re trying, and nothing’s really working.”

Khloe live-tweeted the episode as well, and got defensive about the strength of her family. "Speculate all you want," she wrote. "The armor I put around MY family can't melt or even scratch. So continue to throw your daggers ... You will never cut us, you will just tire yourself out. Strong and united we will still stand.”

The Stir's Rebecca Stokes felt bad for Khloe, saying that this was the first time she found herself wishing the cameras were off. "Whatever is going on between Khloe and Lamar Odom is private. Khloe struggled this episode to keep it that way," she said. "She did that without taking time off from her day-job -- of talking about her life on T.V. The rest of the cast did their part, adding entertaining elements involving puppy training, scooter rides, hurt feelings, and razor-wounded vaginas. But this all seemed like white noise compared to Khloe's very real, very messed up personal life.”

The real drama continues -- along with the silly stuff -- on "Keeping Up With the Kardashians" every Sunday at 9 p.m. ET on E!
