Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment With Avocado Gets Rid Of Pesky, Dry Skin Patches

An Avocado Eye Cream That Gets Rid Of Pesky, Dry Skin Patches

As someone whose mother bought them under-eye cream at the age of 14, I'm more than familiar with the plethora of under-eye treatments out there. I've tried a slew of them, and while many promise to lighten, brighten and hydrate, most of the time, they just don't hold up to these claims.

So when I heard about Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment with Avocado, which according to many reviews and many close friends actually works, I was very anxious to test it out for myself.

For the past month, I have been using this Kiehl's eye cream every morning when I get up and every night right before bed. And boy, have I put this product to the test. I was using it during Fashion Week, a time when eating right and getting enough sleep are low on my list of priorities, so you can only imagine the state of the skin underneath my eyes.

The first thing I noticed about the eye cream was its extremely creamy nature and slight green hue (courtesy of the avocados). All it took was a small dab on my finger and the cream could generously coat the surface under my eyes. I found the eye treatment to be intensely moisturizing -- somehow over the past few weeks I have developed dry skin patches under my eyes (again, this was probably Fashion Week's fault), but this cream seemed to clear them up almost immediately. It also made the area under my eye smoother, which made me look more well-rested. My only criticism is that it didn't help with puffiness.

One of the best things about the Kiehl's Creamy Eye Treatment is the price tag. At $28 a pop (for the smaller 0.5 fl. oz jar), it's totally affordable and will last you about six weeks.

Rating: 4 out of 5. It got rid of my dry patches in a matter of days, but I wish it helped with under-eye puffiness.
