Kim Kardashian's divorce nightmare may soon come to an end.

Kardashian and ex Kris Humphries are reportedly closer to reaching a settlement in their contentious divorce case, according to TMZ. The two could reach an agreement as early as Friday, when they are due in court for their second settlement conference.

Kris wants an annulment on the grounds of fraud, but he is allegedly realizing that his case is not a sure-thing. "Kris is opening his eyes a little bit, and what he sees doesn't look good," a source told TMZ. There is little to no evidence backing his claim that he was duped into marrying the reality star for ratings.

As for Kardashian, she wants a clean split. If the case has to go to trial, the 32-year-old plans to explain "why the parties' marriage should be dissolved and not annulled," defend herself against the claims of fraud and testify about their prenup, according to People magazine.

On April 12, Humphries was a no-show at Los Angeles court for their first settlement conference. Such meetings are common in divorce hearings to determine if a couple is able to reach a mutual agreement before going to trial, People notes.

Although they are scheduled to meet on April 19, a resolution is unlikely. Humphries' lawyer said no settlement has been reached, according to the Associated Press, and that he and his client are planning for the May 6 trial.

Kardashian, who is six months pregnant with Kanye West's baby, has said she just wants to put her 72-day marriage far behind her. "I can't speak for Kris, but I just want him to be happy and I want us to move on, and that's really what I want, is just to move on," she told David Letterman in January.
