The Los Angeles Kings kicked off their championship summer with the Stanley Cup by visiting Jimmy Kimmel Live! in Los Angeles on Tuesday night.
The Cup entered the studio cradled by Kings captain Dustin Brown as the rest of the championship-winning team piled in to sit alongside the trophy. With some players sporting freshly-shaved faces for the first time in weeks, Kimmel commended the team by acknowledging its first-ever franchise championship. He then asked the question captivating North America: Who has celebrated the most? If you had guessed defenseman Drew Doughty, then you would be correct.

Kings forward Kevin Westgarth offered Kimmel a sip from the cherished Stanley Cup -- something traditionally reserved for champions. Asked who was most likely to damage the trophy, the Kings nominated Westgarth, who had already managed to break one Cup rule by offering a drink to Kimmel. With a gap-toothed smile and two-thumbs up to match his enthusiasm, Westgarth explained his plans, which included bringing the prized possession back to his native Ontario to sit on his back porch.

The vanquished Devils were briefly mentioned when Kimmel asked if Steve Bernier's name would be included on the winning team's roster (to be etched onto the Stanley Cup) in reference to the fourth-liner's major penalty that resulted in three goals for L.A. in Game 6.
"He did his part," Kimmel joked as his audience cheered.
The Kings will celebrate their victory with a parade in Los Angeles on Thursday. Presumably, many will be in attendance, but the real question remains: how many expletives can Dustin Brown fit in a whole victory speech?
