LA Times Magazine Shutting Down: A Look Back At Their Best Covers (PHOTOS)

It's no shock to anyone that the print world is suffering drastically, and the Los Angeles Times' iconic Sunday magazine is just the latest publication to fall victim to this trend.

The magazine has called itself a few different names over the past years, but the current version has been around since 2008. Come June 3, the magazine will send out its final issue.

On behalf of the magazine, LA Times PR guru Nancy Sullivan sent HuffPost the below statement:

The Times’ commitment to our members is to remain Southern California’s #1 source for news and information, and to provide distinctive lifestyle coverage, compelling storytelling and unparalleled photography. All of that will continue to be offered in our print editions, at latimes.com and in a growing variety of digital and mobile formats.

The magazine's editor Nancie Clare told Fishbowl LA, "I think it’s fair to say there were revenue issues. It’s still a tough economic climate, especially for print. I don’t think they got rid of us because they don’t like us.”

Neither do we. To honor the publication, we here at HuffPost LA have put together a collection of some of our favorite covers to say goodbye and good luck to the intimate staff that called this magazine home.
