Lea Michele Tweets Photo From 'Glee' Season 5 Set, Calls It 'Home'

Lea Michele Tweets First Photo Back At 'Glee'

Less than a month after the death of her boyfriend and co-star, Cory Monteith, Lea Michele is back at work on the set of "Glee."

Michele tweeted the first photo from "Glee" Season 5 Tuesday. In the shot, she appears as character Rachel Berry, dressed in a sweater and skirt, sitting alone on a trunk in a nearly empty room.

"Feels so good to be home..." she wrote.

The first look at the 26-year-old actress in Season 5 is certainly a melancholy one. Following the death of her on and offscreen love, many "Glee" fans were unsure how the series would continue. Michele was apparently the one who encouraged the show to move forward.

"Ultimately the person who made the decision was Lea, who felt that the best thing for the cast and crew was to be together and to get back to work and be together every day and talk about our memories of him," co-creator Ryan Murphy explained to E! News last month. "So we decided to do that with Lea's blessing and we're going to go back to work and have grief counselors on the set for two weeks because people are really hurting."

On Tuesday, Michele tweeted that she had recorded the most "perfect and beautiful" first song for the season. She was spotted leaving a studio wearing her "Cory" nameplate necklace.

A Monteith tribute has been planned for the upcoming season of "Glee," The Associated Press reported. His character, Finn Hudson, will be written out of the series and Monteith's addiction-related death will be addressed in some way. After that, "Glee" will go on a several-week hiatus.
