The school year is coming to an end, so what better time to take a look at some of the amazing kids who have stood up and spoken out for lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) rights for themselves, their friends, their communities and their families.
It's been a tumultuous and joyful year. From transgender children being refused the right to use school bathrooms to gay graduates giving beautiful graduation speeches, we'd like to take a moment to applaud our LGBT youth, those in the slideshow below and all the others who are making a difference.
Because, as Whitney Houston once told us, the children really are the future.
