Slow cooker recipes have one major downfall. While they're delightfully convenient and have the ability to warm your soul on the coldest of days, they often times pack on the calories too. And sometimes, that just doesn't feel alright. You don't have to give up on the slow cooker if you're trying to watch what you eat, there are plenty of light recipes you can make in your crock too.
Light slow cooker recipes are perfect for the time of year when it's frigid out, but we're still holding on to our healthy eating resolutions. Or if you just don't want to be weighed down with a heavy meal. They taste just as good as classic slow cooker recipes, so they're great any time of year -- for any occasion.
