Beer connoisseurs and turophiles had their day in the sun between last month's Beer Fest and the Grilled Cheese Invitational. Now the time has come for local winos to rejoice with the kick off of the first ever Los Angeles Natural Wine Week, happening through Sunday, May 16th.
Via LA Weekly, natural wine distributor and Wine Week coordinator Amy Atwood explains, "The natural wine movement is an organic offshoot of people becoming more aware of the food they eat, where it comes from, how its made."
Throughout the week Los Angeles restaurants, wine bars, and winemakers will host an array of tasting events, meet and greets, educational symposiums, and dinners, clinking their glasses to health, booze, and healthier boozing.
Some of this week's highlight events include tonight's wine flight at Bistro LQ, Saturday's five course Prix Fixe at Grace Restaurant, and a panel discussion with foodie guru Jonathan Gold on Sunday at LACE.
