We all know that Mana frontman Fher Olvera can pen some deep lyrics. And now, he’s written some powerful words in support of gay marriage.

The 53-year-old cantante published a very thoughtful message this week, emphasizing the importance of equality. He also threw in a quote from legendary Mexican president Benito Juarez.

“Peace, like Benito Juarez said, is the result of the respect for the rights of others,” Olvera wrote. “Full recognition for same-sex couples is not just a question of equality, it is a matter of justice.”

Fher definitely makes a great point. Now lets just hope that some of the more conservative politicians take the time to listen to it.
