FRISCO - It was a night of stars as Mark Cuban led the red carpet at Minnie’s Food Pantry 8th Annual Feed Just One Gala. The fight against hunger became more powerful when Mark Cuban and players from the Dallas Mavericks presented Founder, Cheryl Jackson with a check for $101,000. "We are raising money for an amazing cause, which is Minnie's Food Pantry, named after my mother," said the founder, Cheryl Jackson. "I am just so thrilled at the community support that we have tonight."

Members of the Dallas Mavericks were on-hand to contribute to a night dedicated to a great cause, including team owner Mark Cuban, "If you can't afford food, then there's nothing you can do. And so, being able to deal with issues of food insecurity is huge for all of North Texas." (source CW33)

Mavs star Devin Harris was honored at the gala for donating 30,000 meals in the community.

"I don't do it for the recognition, I just do it because it feels good to m," Harris said. "And it's something I enjoy doing, but I'm humbled. We all try to do our part, I'm just trying to do mine."

Some of Harris’ other teammates was in attendance to offer their support for him on his special night.
