Martin Lawrence And Kelsey Grammer Comedy Series In The Works

Grammer And Lawrence Eye New Comedy Series

The idea of having two of Hollywood's biggest stars team up for a sitcom could be a reality with Kelsey Grammer and Martin Lawrence’s developing show.

According to Deadline, the two actors are reportedly considering working together on a new comedy sitcom for Lionsgate TV and Debmar-Mercury. Though little is known about the developing series, sources tell the site that the show may have an “odd couple” feel with a production model similar to Charlie Sheen’s “Anger Management.”

The as-yet-untitled sitcom will add to Lawrence's list of developing projects, including the possible third installment to Jerry Bruckheimer’s “Bad Boys” franchise. Last year the comedian's co-star, Will Smith, confirmed during an episode of BET’s “106 & Park,” that the pair are on board for another sequel.

"I talked to Martin about that a couple of weeks ago,” he revealed. “Martin is into it and we got a couple of screenplays and the story's gotta be right."

The film’s 2003 predecessor, Bad Boys 2, topped the box office during its opening week grossing $46.5 million domestically.
