Mary McCormack dropped by "Chelsea Lately" to hang with her friend, but while she was there she inadvertently broke some news about Chelsea Handler.
Handler was talking about how the two go out together when McCormack added, "She’s single now, too, so it’s like, you can’t keep up.”
That's right. Apparently, Handler and her longtime boyfriend, hotel magnate Andre Balazs, have called it quits. The two had been in a three-year, long-distance relationship that was apparently going very well at one time. Back in March, she talked with both Katie Couric and Oprah Winfrey about her relationship, and seemed to be indicating that Balazs may well be the one.
“It’s going very well. I’ve decided to not fight being in a relationship," Handler said then. "When you really love somebody, you always find your way back to them, so we did. It’s much, it’s much more harmonious now.” She told Winfrey that she felt she'd met her match.
Obviously, things have changed. Now, chatting with McCormack, Handler suggested, "Maybe I’ll start a bitch? ... That would be totally something I would do, is date a woman.”
Handler has long said she doesn't want to get married, so maybe it's not such a surprise that things didn't work out with Balazs. And now her fans can enjoy wild Chelsea dating stories on "Chelsea Lately," weeknights at 11 p.m. ET on E!
