A 39-year-old soldier flying home after completing his second tour of duty in Afghanistan was reported missing after a layover in Chicago but has since been located.

Police say Matthew Segur landed at O'Hare on Monday and had been slated to fly home to Dallas on Wednesday after the initial connecting flight was canceled, according to the Chicago Tribune.

Segur never boarded his Wednesday flight and had not been in contact with either his friends or family since Monday, the Chicago Sun-Times reports.

UPDATE: 12 p.m. -- Segur was located Friday in Texas, according to ABC Chicago.
