This Amazing Queer Web Series For Kids Is Back For A Second Season

"We not only hope to inspire LGBTQ youth to take action, but we also aim to create opportunities for more minorities to be able to shape and produce media."

A popular animated web series that explores issues affecting teenagers and young adults that identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender (LGBT) is back for a second season -- and we couldn't be more psyched about it.

Robert-Carnilius' "McTucky Fried High" approaches queer and feminist issues from a relatable lens in order to reach some of the youngest members of our community using quirky, relatable characters that all resemble some kind of delectable treat.

"We're really focused on conscious and inclusive media both in front of and behind the camera," Robert-Carnilius told The Huffington Post. "For 'McTucky Fried High,' that means using food characters to bring visibility to underrepresented voices and issues in new and funny ways. We talk about STIs, feminism, religion and politics surrounding bathrooms to name a few [topics]. We also have a curriculum in the works that, when paired with each episode, will act as a tool to further encourage discussion and critical thinking around these topics. Through 'McTucky Fried High' we not only hope to inspire LGBTQ youth to take action, but we also aim to create opportunities for more minorities to be able to shape and produce media!"
