Are Overalls Ever Appropriate On The Red Carpet? Melanie Fiona Seems To Think So (PHOTOS)

We love a good style revival and these days it's all about 90's fashion -- crop tops, chokers, snapback hats and Timberland boots, to name a few. While those items have regained a place in our hearts (and closets), we're still a bit skeptical about the return of...overalls.

Our trepidation concerning the farm-born getup was only deepened after spotting singer/songwriter/fab chick Melanie Fiona in a pair at ASCAP's 5th Annual "Women Behind The Music" Series on Tuesday. That's right, Melanie donned a denim onesie on the red carpet. At first glance you might miss it, since the 30-year-old star, who describes her style as "bohemian couture," opted to let the bib and straps hang at her waist.

We usually love Melanie for her standout style, but between the floppy hat, metallic blouse and whatever is going on from the waist down -- this look leaves us puzzled.

And although Rihanna, Justin Bieber, Heidi Klum and other celebs have been seen rocking overalls around town, are they ever ok on the red carpet? You be the judge.
