Any fitness pro will tell you that if you only do bicep curls, your triceps will grow soft and weak from underuse. Giving and receiving depend on each other in the same way. You might love giving, but if you don't work the receiving side, you're not stronger. You're imbalanced.

That's why we say ask for help, in spite of the fears you feel about being weak or incompetent. Rather than judge you for asking, you'll find that people show up for you in spades -- and feel happy that you asked. Asking for help can look like a straight-up favor, time with a friend to talk over a problem or even delegating some of your responsibilities. Let a project or responsibility go, and let someone else handle it. Your stress will ease up for it.
