'Blue Skies' In Miami Shores

With film back at Miami Theatre Center after decades of silence, programming partner O Cinema is bringing movies back to the newly christened MTCfilm with the first movie to ever play in the space: "Blue Skies," the 1946 Bing Crosby classic.

The white-suited Tom Wolfe will also appear on the O Cinema and MTCfilm screens in "Tom Wolfe Goes Back To Blood," a Miami-made documentary chronicling the research for Wolfe's latest novel, "Back to Blood."

Other classics will hit the big screens in Miami. The 1986 teenage cult fave "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" will be playing at Cosford Cinema alongside the Japanese erotic drama "Empire of Passion."
