Poor Birdman.

After he won numerous accolades throughout the 2015 awards season, many thought Michael Keaton had a good shot at taking home an Oscar for his leading role in "Birdman." However, when the time came to announce the winner Sunday night, it was Eddie Redmayne who snagged Best Actor for playing Stephen Hawking in "The Theory of Everything."

Apparently prepared to take the stage, Keaton appeared to have an acceptance speech in hand as the nominees were called. Vine user Beefyrhetoric caught a clip of Keaton putting a piece of paper into his jacket pocket during applause for Redmayne:
