Michelle Obama To Appear On 'The Daily Show' With Jon Stewart

First Lady Michelle Obama will make her second appearance on "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" on Tuesday, May 29, according to a press release issued by Comedy Central. Her previous stop was in 2008 during her husband's campaign for president.

Obama plans to discuss her upcoming book, AMERICAN GROWN: The Story of the White House Kitchen Garden and Gardens Across America, which is being released the same day by Crown Publishers. Proceeds from the book will benefit the National Park Foundation.

The kitchen garden as well as other healthy living initiatives have been a major focus for the First Lady since Barack Obama took office. She recently joined school children from across the country for spring planting at the garden, one of many events targeted towards teaching children healthier ways to eat. The book, her first, promises to give "an unprecedented look at every season of the garden’s growth, from the first planting to the latest harvest."

On her previous visit to "The Daily Show," Obama discussed the challenges, debates and scandals of the 2008 election, which was in full swing at the time. Check out the clips from that interview below (or visit Comedy Central):
