Michelle Parker Missing: Ex-Fiance's Dad, Dale Smith Sr., Arrested For Growing Marijuana

Michelle Parker Update: Drug Charges For Ex-Fiance's Dad

There's more turmoil on the homefront for the children of missing mom Michelle Parker. The paternal grandfather of Parker's twins was arrested last week for allegedly growing marijuana, TV station WESH reports.

It's the latest domestic crisis since Parker, 33, vanished in November. Parker was last seen by her ex-fiance Dale Smith, the father of her twin three-year-olds, on the day an episode of the "People's Court" aired in which Parker and Smith wrangled over a engagement ring that she lost.

Parker allegedly threw the ring from a balcony.

Orlando police, searching for Parker, claim that Smith was violent with his former fiancee and they quickly named him the lone suspect in the case.

Despite protests from Parker's relatives and Florida's Department of Children and Families, Smith regained custody of the children.

Last Tuesday's arrest of Smith's father, Dale Smith Sr., for supposedly growing and possessing pot and possessing drug paraphernalia unleashed a fresh round of protests from Parker's mom Yvonne Stewart.

Stewart said the twins are at their grandfather's house every day, but she doesn't want them visiting there until the drug charges are resolved, according to Central Florida 13.

Department of Children and Families officials requested documents from Smith Sr.'s arrest to look into the matter. However, a spokeswoman told The Orlando Sentinel that this probably won't alter who has custody of the youngsters.
