Wayne State University officials will be on the hot seat next week in Lansing, as state lawmakers plan to grill them over an eight-year contract agreement reached last week between the university and the faculty union.

Republican legislators are upset, saying the contract was put at that length only to circumvent the state's right-to-work law slated to go into effect at the end of the month.
