Frustration with an ex can drive people to do crazy things -- like drive a car into their ex-husband's home.
That's exactly what Kathy Lee Emery of Muskegon County, Michigan did. On Tuesday she was sentenced to 30 days in jail and 18 months probation for driving her Dodge Durango into her ex-husband's home after their Jan. 7 divorce hearing, Michigan-based news site MLive.com reports.
“I did what I did and I am sorry for that, but I don’t deserve the games he played with me before it led to this,” Emery said in court. (Watch her full statement in the video above.)
Her ex-husband, Roger Emery, was awarded the house during the January hearing, which, according to Muskegon County Sheriff’s Office report, is what set her off.
The former couple -- who have no children -- was married for five years but together for 10 years.
Earlier this month, British man Andrew McGarry pulled a similar stunt when he drove his Vauxhall Zafira into the matrimonial home so that his estranged wife would not get to keep the house in the divorce. She and their three children were in the house at the time of the crash, but no one was injured.
