Mika Asks 'Where Have All The Gay Guys Gone' In New 'Good Guys' Video

Pop Star Mika Wants To Know 'Where Have All The Gay Guys Gone'?

Openly gay pop singer Mika dropped the latest single from his upcoming album this week.

The track, "Good Guys," is from the singer's upcoming fourth album No Place in Heaven. "Good Guys," asks the question, "where have all the gay guys gone?" and offers up a tribute to the legacy of a number of historical gay pioneers throughout the video.

According to Towleroad, "Good Guys" pays homage to W.H. Auden, James Dean, David Bowie and Walt Whitman, among others.

Mika elaborated on the overarching concept for the track in an interview with Gay.com:

Where are the people that inspired me when I was 15-years-old, all these heroes that I held up so high? Where are they now? Why can’t I truly dare to be like them? How do I capture that? How do I be in the canon of those men that truly lived their lives without feeling consequences even if they had to deal with them?

Mika came out as gay in August 2012 after dodging questions about his sexuality for several years and originally stating he was bisexual in 2009.

"No Place in Heaven" will be released on June 16.
