Miranda Lambert Tears Up While Singing Emotional Song To Young Fan With Cancer

Miranda Lambert couldn't help but let her guard down for one fan battling cancer.

On Saturday, the country superstar performed a show in Corpus Christi, Texas, as part of her "Platinum" tour. A video uploaded to YouTube captures Lambert's touching performance of her song, "Over You." After spotting 7-year-old Brooke Hester, who, according to Fox News, has been battling neuroblastoma -- a type of cancer -- since 2010, Lambert made her way over to the child and began singing to her.

At the 2:30 mark, Lambert takes the child's hand, and is so overcome with emotion that she stops singing and begins tearing up. The video has since gone viral, racking up more than 800,000 views in just a few days.

On Wednesday, Brooke told Today.com that her moment with the country singer was special.

"It was awesome," Brooke told the outlet. "I thought she was really cool."
