Mo Rocca Named 'CBS Sunday Morning' Correspondent

'CBS Sunday Morning' Names New Correspondent

Actor and Emmy award-winning writer Mo Rocca has been promoted to "CBS Sunday Morning" contributor. CBS News announced Rocca's new role on Friday.

Rocca has been a correspondent for "Sunday Morning" since 2006. In his new capacity with the network, Rocca will expand his reporting to other CBS News programs. "Sunday Morning" executive producer Rand Morrison said “His title is Correspondent, but we see Mo, as we see all our SUNDAY MORNING contributors, as a ‘columnist,’ bringing his own unique – and it is unique – perspective to everything he does.”

Rocca currently serves as a panelist on NPR's "Wait, Wait... Don't Tell Me!" He is also the host of Cooking Channel's "Food(ography)." He has previously worked as a correspondent on "The Daily Show With Jon Stewart," and "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno." Rocca won an Emmy for Outstanding Writing for a Variety, Music or Comedy Special for his work on the 2010 Tony Awards.
