Morgan Spurlock's CNN Series To Debut June 23

CNN's New Series Gets Premiere Date

Morgan Spurlock's new series on CNN will debut June 23, the network announced on Tuesday.

"Inside Man," an eight-week series, will feature Spurlock exploring issues like migrant farm workers, the elder care industry, union workers, gun owners, education, bankruptcy and the drought. The debut was originally scheduled for April, around the time of the premiere of Anthony Bourdain's "Parts Unknown," but was delayed. The premiere episode, which will air at 10 p.m. on June 23, will show Spurlock working in a medial marijuana dispensary in California.

Spurlock is best known for his documentary "Super Size Me." His CNN project, which was the second unscripted series CNN announced, was revealed last August, before Jeff Zucker became CNN's new president. At the time, the network was reportedly looking at what it called "non-fiction original" shows as a way out of its ratings slump.
