'Morning Joe' Panel On Clinton Controversy Devolves Into Carville Shouting Match

James Carville is not falling for the "scandal mongering" on "Morning Joe."

During a combative discussion on the MSNBC program Wednesday morning, the political commentator and veteran supporter of the Clintons battled co-hosts Joe Scarborough and Mika Brzezinski over the latest installment in the Hillary Clinton email controversy.

On Friday, Rep. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.), the chairman of the House Select Committee on Benghazi, said that the former secretary of state had "unilaterally decided to wipe her server clean and permanently delete all emails from her personal server."

Carville, despite pushback from Brzezinski and Scarborough, maintained that Clinton still had not done anything out of the ordinary.

"There's nothing wrong with her doing that," he said, adding earlier that Colin Powell had also used a personal email address as secretary of state. "Its not against the law. It's not against regulations. Other people have done it before."

"At the end of the day, I'm going to predict that this whole thing is going to amount to diddly squat," he continued.

The topic of conversation then traveled back in time, with Carville and Scarborough shouting over each other about the Clinton Whitewater and Benghazi scandals of yesteryear.

"Let me talk for 10 seconds and then you talk for 10 seconds," Scarborough finally suggested.

That plan didn't work out so well, with Carville and Scarborough continuing to battle it out for the better portion of the segment.
