Growing up as a skinny black girl in the south where women with curves are highly praised (and rightfully so), I always felt a bit out of place. So, naturally my style icons include lithe ladies like Diana Ross, Iman and Grace Jones whose size didn't stop them from reshaping the face of fashion. And now I have another woman to add to my list: Naomie Harris.
The 36-year-old English actress has that shy, yet stellar presence like Ross did in "Lady Sings the Blues," and has showed it off more recently as the new Bond girl while making press rounds alongside Daniel Craig and Berenice Marlohe. Harris tends to favor slinky, sexy silhouettes that accentuate her toned physique, but we love it when she takes risks in structured pieces that give her a leg up in the style game. And with flawless skin and hair, Harris is bound to land a beauty contract very soon (in our opinion).
