Pastor Joe Nelms No Stranger To Nascar Prayers (VIDEOS)

WATCH: The Official Prayer Of Nascar?

Maybe he should be called Nascar's "Prayer-In-Chief."

In the interest of full disclosure, we must admit that roughly 50% of Team HuffPost Comedy is originally from the deep south. So it's no surprise that when we saw Pastor Joe Nelms' rousing prayer to kick off the Nationwide Federated Auto Parts 300 race in Nashville, TN, we kind of lost our collective southern minds.

Clearly, the racers and the crowd appreciated Nelms' unconventional invocation, and we applaud it. First of all, it's funny. Second, it's honest: they might not be there without God, but they definitely wouldn't be there without the sponsors either. Third, if a preacher lands a smokin' hot wife, he darn well better be thanking the big guy every chance he gets. Fourth and finally, the phrase, "In Jesus' name, boogity, boogity, boogity, Amen," is practically perfect in every way.

But after watching the clip, oh, a few dozen times, we had the feeling that Pastor Nelms is no newbie when it comes to praying before Nascar. And we were right. There are a handful of other videos of his pre-race rhetorical fireworks available on YouTube. He certainly perfected the prayer in his latest attempt, but the earlier videos are nothing to fall asleep in church about. Clearly, Nelms is single-handedly putting the fun back in fundamentalism.

Take a look at the video that has all of the Internet questioning its lack of faith, and then check out some of Nelm's earlier Nascar prayers below.
