NeNe Leakes Talks What's Next On 'The New Normal,' 'The Real Housewives Of Atlanta' And More (VIDEO)

NeNe Leakes On 'The New Normal,' 'Housewives' Jealousy & More

"The New Normal" (Tuesdays, 9:30 p.m. ET on NBC) has already tackled several controversial hot topics in its first few episodes, including racism, politics and gay rights. Now, it sounds like there's a wedding in the works, but it's not for the show's gay couple, Bryan (Andrew Rannells) and David (Justin Bartha) ... it's for the show's youngest star, Shania (Bebe Wood).

I caught up with star NeNe Leakes, who plays Bryan's sassy assistant Rocky, about her role in this big pre-teen wedding, and she also dished about some upcoming fun with Nana (Ellen Barkin) and incorporating a few NeNe-isms into the show.

She also talked about whether her fellow "Real Housewives of Atlanta" (Season 5 premieres Sun., Nov. 4, 9 p.m. ET on Bravo) are jealous or supportive of her newfound fame and success, and whether or not she'll make a return to Ryan Murphy's other show "Glee."

THE BIG O.M.G – JACKIE HOFFMAN (“ONE LIFE TO LIVE”) GUEST STARS – While David (Justin Bartha) is planning a family dinner to tell his mother, Francis (Guest Star Jackie Hoffman, “One Life to Live”) about the baby, Bryan (Andrew Rannells) comisserates with Goldie (Georgia King) about mother-in-law woes. Elsewhere, Jane (Ellen Barkin) is learning that even at her age she still has it, but when she experiences an unusual sensation during an encounter with a younger man she seeks out David’s medical advice. "BRYANZILLA" (Tues., Oct. 9)
SAY YES TO THE PRETEND DRESS – Shania (Bebe Wood) announces that she and her classmate are "pretend" engaged and are going to hold an imaginary wedding. Thrilled with the idea of the upcoming nuptials, Bryan (Andrew Rannells) enlists the help of a reluctant Rocky (NeNe Leakes) and dives head first into planning the event of the season. Goldie (Georgia King) supports her daughter's fairy tale, but Jane (Ellen Barkin) attempts to shut down the ceremony. Later, David (Justin Bartha) discovers just how important this party is for Bryan and he makes a life-changing decision.
