New College Of Florida Produces More Fulbright Scholars Per Capita Than Harvard, Yale

New College of Florida -- one of our top non-traditional colleges -- boasts six Fulbright scholars this year, making it a leader of the international academic program that awards scholarships to 1,500 applicants per year.

What's more, according to the Washington Post's analysis, the 800-student school has had more Fulbright scholars per capita in past years than Harvard or Yale.

The Post has more on the history of winner distribution:

A comprehensive list (.pdf) published last year by the Chronicle of Higher Education shows that Northwestern University produced the most Fulbright students in 2009-10 among research institutions, with 32; George Washington University was not far behind, with 23. No other D.C.-area university made the list.

One master's-level institution, College of Notre Dame of Maryland, ranked high among master's universities, with two Fulbrights.
