Nichlous Peternik Mug Shot: Redding, Calif., Suspect Needs A Hand (PHOTO)

How About A Hand For This Mug Shot?

We have to hand it to you, Nichlous Peternik -- you certainly take a memorable mug shot.

The 27-year-old was brought into custody at 11:18 p.m. on Aug. 8, after he was caught allegedly burglarizing a home in Redding, Calif., located a few hours north of San Francisco.

According to a City of Redding press release, "The owner of the residence arrived and told officers no one was supposed to be inside."

After an unsuccessful attempt at talking Peternik out of the house, the cops unleashed "K-9 Vermut," who bit the suspect and stopped the alleged burglary.

Despite Peternik's tired appearance, a sergeant with the Shasta County Police Department told The Huffington Post that the suspect is in fact not dozing off, as The Weekly Vice reported -- he just refused to pull his hair back.

Peternik is being held at the Shasta County Jail on $10,000 bail.
