Clyde Allen Rizzutto Is Responsible For Tigard, Ore., Police Officer Crashing Into Home (VIDEO)

WATCH: High Speed Police Chase Ends With Patrol Car Crashing Into House

This is why you're supposed to stop in the name of the law.

A dashboard video camera in a Tigard Police Department cop car shows a high-speed chase through Oregon streets that ends with the pursuing officer ramming through the facade of a home, according to KING5 TV.

Cops just released the tape, but the crash happened in September when an elderly driver pulled in front of the speeding police car with its lights flashing and siren blaring, The Oregonian reports.

The pursuing officer, Caleb Phillips was responding to an emergency call, and tried to pass the slower moving vehicle driven by Clyde Allen Rizzutto.

But Rizzutto, 65, made a lefthand turn right as Phillips tried to pass, causing a collision that ricochetted the officer into a home.

No one was injured in the jarring smashup captured by the camera, although someone was home when the squad car destroyed the facade, The Oregonian says.

Rizzutto will receive a failure to yield to an emergency vehicle, the newspaper reports.
