I left my empty apartment for the last time, and with my overstuffed (and overweight) suitcases in tow, I finally set off for the South of France.

A cab ride, lots of excess baggage fees, a red eye, a few buses and 12 hours later, I arrived in Nice ready to start my new life.

This feels like the end of the beginning and, hopefully, the beginning of something compelling and new. I'm proud that I finally left, nervous about what comes next and incredibly excited to start making a new home in southern France.
