Paula Patton Reacts To Miley Twerking On Her Hubby, Robin Thicke

Paula Patton got a chance to address what Miley Cyrus did to her husband, Robin Thicke, during her appearance on "Watch What Happens: Live." It was the twerk seen 'round the world when Cyrus gyrated against Thicke during their performance at the 2013 MTV Video Music Awards. It's also the twerk that the world will keep talking about forever, apparently!

“I wasn’t surprised at all," Patton said of the performance. "Honestly, they rehearsed for three days beforehand and I don’t know how not to dance with someone having their booty in your ... all my friends do it like that! And, I don’t really know what the big deal is."

She went on to say that she was a little surprised by the reaction the performance has gotten. "I didn’t know if they thought Miley was going to sit down and play piano like Alicia Keys. Her song’s about taking Molly [ecstasy]!" she said. "I don’t understand. I didn’t get the big deal.”

Of course, both Cyrus and Thicke have talked about the performance as well. Thicke told Star magazine, "We knew what we were getting ourselves into. We’re entertainers, and the VMAs [are] the perfect place for a little shock and awe. We kind of knew when we were in rehearsal and we were like, ‘Okay, if you touch me with your foam finger all over my crotch, obviously a few people are going to have something to say about this’. But that was the whole point!”

As for Cyrus, she said that people criticizing the performance were definitely thinking about it way more than she did. She was just out to have fun. And yet this story still isn't over! The FCC has been flooded with more than 150 complaints regarding the VMA stunt, so now they'll get to decide how they want to respond.
