Dad Allegedly Paid Teenager To Fight Girl He Believed Was Bullying Daughter

Philip Prokop, a 42-year-old father from Shelton, Conn., has been arrested after allegedly paying a 17-year-old girl $21 to attack a 13-year-old he suspected of bullying his daughter, WTNH-TV reports.

"People would trip me in the hallways," Prokop's daughter told the TODAY show. "Or grab my stomach and say that I was pregnant and ask me like how far along I was."

At a local diner, Prokup took matters into his own hands, saying he approached the teens to ask them to stop the alleged harassment.

"I introduced myself and who I was and who my daughter was and I told them to stop bullying my daughter," Prokup told the station. "And the next thing there was a girl on the ground. The girl that bullied my daughter was on top of that girl beating her face in."

According to Shelton Patch, Prokup was arrested after police alleged the father paid the teenager to beat up the suspected-bully and also grabbed another 13-year-old to stop her from getting involved.

But Prokup told WTNH the claims are simply not true -- saying it wouldn't make sense for him to do something like that in broad daylight.

The 42-year-old was charged with inciting injury to a person, risk of injury to a minor and conspiracy to commit a third-degree assault. Prokup was released on a $10,000 bond and is set to appear in court on Monday, NBC Connecticut reports.

This incident comes after Florida mom Debbie Piscitella was arrested for choking a 14-year-old boy who was allegedly cyber-bullying her 13-year-old daughter McKenna.

Appearing on Good Morning America, Piscitella expressed regret over her actions, saying she "lost it" when she saw the boy face-to-face after school administrators failed to help her daughter.
