Piers Morgan made his CNN debut on "The Situation Room" Thursday night, having a friendly chat with Wolf Blitzer about WikiLeaks, the royal wedding, the World Cup and his upcoming talk show.

Morgan had high praise for the man he's replacing, Larry King, calling him "the great legendary television interviewer" and "one of my all-time heroes."

He also described how he envisions his interviews unfolding on his new show, "Piers Morgan Tonight," which premieres in January.

"I like it to be a theater where two protagonists come in and we have fun and it's probing and it's challenging, a little bit edgy perhaps and occasionally dangerous, where no one quite knows what's going to happen next," he said.

Most importantly, Morgan and Blitzer discussed Blitzer's now legendary performance of the "Dougie" dance at this year's Soul Train Awards, though Morgan initially pronounced it "Doogie."
