An arson at a North Side synagogue early this morning was being investigated as a hate crime, Chicago police said.
A Molotov cocktail was thrown against the wall of Temple Sholom, 3480 N. Lake Shore Dr., by a fenced-in playground area, police said, citing a witness account.
