The network also introduced the new actresses voicing the superhero girls: Amanda Leighton from "The Fosters" will voice Blossom, Kristen Li will voice Bubbles and Natalie Palamides will be voicing Buttercup.

The new series will also feature Tom Kenny reprising his role as the Narrator/Mayor. The reboot will be produced by Nick Jennings ("Adventure Time") and Bob Boyle ("Wow! Wow! Wubbzy!").

The original show first debuted its pilot in 1996 and ran on Cartoon Network from 1998 to 2004 for 78 episodes. A new dose of girl power is coming your way in 2016 when the new "Powerpuff Girls" returns.
