Presidential Dog Doo Bags Appeal To 'A-Poo-Litical' Voters (VIDEO)

Can Sales Of Presidential Dog Doo Bags Predict The Election?

A lot of people think the men running to be president are full of crap, and two separate companies are hoping to capitalize on that by making presidential dog doo bags.

Therapoo, a Fort Worth, Texas-based company has just come out with dog waste collection bags featuring the mugs of Mitt Romney and Barack Obama. The bags sell for $19.95 per box of 100.

Currently, the Barack Obama bags are outselling Mitt Romney receptacles by a 3 to 1 margin, but owner Danny Huber admits most customers are "a-poo-litical."

"A lot of the people buying them think both candidates are full of crap," he told The Huffington Post. "Still, most of the sales are from conservative states."

The New York-based company MetroPaws is also selling presidential poop bags -- 80 bags for $14.99 -- but is getting a slightly different vote tally.

"Right now, Romney is selling better than Obama with stores at a 2 to 1 margin, but he's selling 5 to 1 better than Obama with online sales," MetroPaws executive Jonathan Bolton told HuffPost. "Interestingly enough, every order from Utah is for Romney."

Some costume companies say that the presidential candidate who inspires the most Halloween mask sales will usually win the election, but Huber believes sales of dog doo bags are more likely a reverse barometer.

"People buy the bags of the candidates they don't like," he said.
