Princess Charlene Celebrates Monaco National Day In An Akris Coat Dress (PHOTOS)

Charlene of Monaco is getting more princess-y by the day.

Happy National Monaco Day!

November 19, 2012, marks the luxurious country's 156th anniversary -- cue the fabulous celebrations! Fortunately, Monaco is well-equipped with a glamorous royal couple, so Princess Charlene and Prince Albert II were out and about today to lead the nation's festivities.

Her Serene Highness (yes, that's really her official title) pulled your typical princess moves: waving from a balcony, attending formal ceremonies and religious services and, of course, dressing the part. The former Olympian exhibited the pomp and circumstance of her country in an Akris navy blue coat dress and refined hat with a lace overlay. (But couldn't you see Kate Middleton in this outfit, too? Sorry... we can't help ourselves.)

During last year's National Day, Charlene went slightly more fashion-forward in an all-beige architectural ensemble. The year before that, as Prince Albert II's fiance, she pushed the style limits even further in a printed suit and eye-catching hat. So it's looking like the princess is settling into her role as a royal with a more refined look, no?

Whether or not she's veering more conservatively, we think she turns it out every year. Check out the photos and tell us what you think. Oh, and don't forget to crack some champagne for Monaco!
