Public Enemy 'Brings The Noise' For DC Homeless Youth

Hip hop group Public Enemy has reunited to lend their voices for a great cause. The group plans to promote National Homeless Youth Awareness Month by meeting more than 30 homeless youth who are being housed at Washington, DC-based Sasha Bruce House and sharing in a Thanksgiving dinner together. And yes, Flava Flav will be in attendance.

Public Enemy will then board a flatbed truck around 7:45 p.m. tonight and pump up the jams for an impromptu show en route to Lisner Auditorium for a performance. Sponsored by Virgin Mobile USA's Re*Generation, which helps homeless youth make progress in society, the benefit concert's ticket sales will go towards the Sasha Bruce House.

Fans who donate a new or gently worn winter coat will can score a free VIP ticket upgrade.

Sasha Bruce House is DC's only short-term shelter for youth ages 11-17, providing a safe haven for homeless youth, counseling intervention and educational programs, and support for shelter graduates. The organization emphasizes programs that foster safe homes, leadership, opportunity-building, healthy lives and stable families.
