'Ragin' Cajuns': Trae Gets His Stitches Taken Out On Board The Boat (VIDEO)

'Ragin' Cajuns': Deckhand Blue Removes Captain Trae's Stitches

The commercial fishermen featured on "Ragin' Cajuns" (Tue.,10 p.m. EST on Discovery) are a tough bunch. They have to be, as make their livelihood plying the bayou near Venice, Louisiana in search of shrimp.

Money's been especially tight ever since the BP oil spill in 2010, so when greenhorn captain Trae Cooper was bothered by the 14 stitches in his arm he didn't want to pay for a trip to the doctor.

Blue, a deckhand, was apparently also proficient at removing stitches, and and said he'd do it for free. So, feeling confident that his arm had healed, Trae asked Blue to take his stitches out.

The Cajun Doc Cottle worked quickly and Trae was soon good as new. With his stitches gone and a livid scar in their place, it was back to work like nothing had happened.

"Ragin' Cajuns" airs Tuesdays at 10 p.m. EST on Discovery.
