Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel responded to every question tossed his way in his first extensive interview since the video of the police killing of Laquan McDonald was released.

And yet, we're still left wanting for answers.

What did you know, Mayor, and when did you know it?

If you concluded the city had lost faith and trust in Chicago Police Superintendent Garry McCarthy, what about residents' trust in you?

What about your credibility?

How many more videos like this are there?

At times testy, defensive and evasive, Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel fielded questions Wednesday at a Politico Playbook breakfast and said he had not considered resigning since the release of the Laquan McDonald killing video because he recently was elected.

First, quipping that he had not considered resigning because he "really so much looked forward to this interview," Emanuel then said, "We have a process, called the election. The voters spoke. I'll be held accountable and responsible for my actions and the decisions I make and that's how I approach it. I never shrink from the responsibility of making what I think are the very tough decisions to move the city forward. People can express their views, but as it relates to what I have to do, the people had a vote. They made a decision and I'm going to execute the responsibilities of being the mayor and be accountable for the decisions I make."

Left unchallenged, however, was the fact that Emanuel said he'd had the shooting video described to him before the election by a city lawyer, but it was not public when voters went to the polls in the April runoff election between Emanuel and Cook County Commissioner Jesus "Chuy" Garcia...
