Rebel Wilson: ABC's 'Super Fun Night' Won't Be Like 'Sex And The City' Or 'Girls'

Rebel Wilson Says Her New Show Will Be The 'Anti-Sex And The City'

Rebel Wilson, also known as the funny lady who played Fat Amy in "Pitch Perfect" and the Kristen Wiig's awful roommate in "Bridesmaids," is headed for TV land this fall. ABC picked up her show, "Super Fun Night," and, judging from the trailer, it will have that signature Rebel flair.

The comedy is about three best friends who have "super fun nights" every weekend -- at home. But then they have an equally "super fun night" out, which could change everything.

According to Wilson, her character is no Carrie Bradshaw or Hannah Horvath. "It's the anti–Sex and the City," she said at the ABC Upfronts, reported Vulture. "When these ladies eat at night, they're not talking about dick."

She also assured the audience that the content of her show would stay major-network-appropriate. "Don't worry, I won't be doing a Lena Dunham," she quipped. "I'll only put my boobs out if it's necessary for the storyline or a Wednesday."

We're just excited to see the pilot. More Rebel Wilson is always a good thing.
