Red Lion Area High School Asks For Support For 'Pubic Education' (PHOTO)

LOOK: High School Makes Very Embarrassing Typo

There's no "i" in "team," but there's definitely an "l" in "public."

Ryan Petzar, a sports producer at Philly.com, tweeted a picture of a sign that contained a pretty embarrassing typo.

The banner posted at Red Lion Area High School in southern Pennsylvania reads: "Become a partner in pubic education."

SCROLL DOWN FOR PHOTO OF SIGN

The Huffington Post has reached out to the high school, which confirmed that the sign is legitimate, and is waiting for a comment from the district's superintendent.

Don Dimoff, the marketing and communications manager for the Red Lion School District, told Yahoo's Prep Rally that "It was an honest mistake by a sign company," and "It doesn't reflect on the quality of our sponsors or our programs."

"To be honest with you, all that really happened was the sign company made a spelling error, and in the midst of putting it up for a football game some of the other people missed it," Dimoff said, according to Prep Rally. "As soon as we found out about it the damage had already been done."

Prep Rally heard much more from Dimoff, so click over to Yahoo! to read more.
