Renee Alway, 'America's Next Top Model' Alum, Arrested For Burglary In Palm Springs

'America's Next Top Model' Alum Arrested

"America's Next Top Model" alum Renee Alway was arrested last month in California on multiple charges, including suspicion of burglary and fraud.

Alway was arrested in Palm Springs on June 28 after police found her in a vacant home, KTLA reported via a statement from the Palm Springs Police Department. Officers were responding to a call about a suspicious female walking around the 600 block of Violeta Drive. They eventually found an armed Alway hiding in the garage of the unoccupied home, the owners of which were out of the country.

Police believed an armed man was elsewhere in the house and called in the SWAT team after the 27-year-old reality show contestant was in custody, according to KNBC. A six-hour standoff unfolded, but no one was found.

The aspiring model was later booked on suspicion of two counts of burglary and one count of fraud. She is currently being held at the Riverside County Larry D. Smith Correctional Facility in Banning in lieu of $150,000 bail.

The Desert Sun reports the "ANTM" hopeful was arrested at least four other times this year. She was arrested twice in April, for charges that included grand theft over $400, grand theft with a firearm and receiving stolen property.

She was also arrested twice in June and charged with possession of drug paraphernalia, petty theft and fraud, according to TMZ.

Alway, who placed third in Cycle 8 of the Tyra Banks-helmed series, is due in court Thursday. She had pleaded not guilty to all charges.
