Jeremy Renner Talks 'Mission Impossible,' Taking Over For Tom Cruise

Jeremy Renner To Replace Tom Cruise?

Double-duty isn't something terribly foreign to movie stars, but no one exemplifies it quite like Jeremy Renner.

The star is taking up the "Bourne" series, has just wrapped up the star-studded "The Avengers" and the action-packed "Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol."

Renner recalled hanging off the tallest building in the world with his veteran co-star Tom Cruise, when explaining the demands of an action star.

"Tom was laughing at me because I told him I was going to vomit on him," he told "Extra."

"He's just upside down, mind you, hanging on a wire saying, 'Come on, man, look at this view!' I did look, and I realized the Legoland that was below us were all proper skyscrapers."

While Renner is taking up the reins of Matt Damon's "Bourne" series, many have also speculated that he will be the "Mission Impossible" successor.

Though he did shoot down rumors, he admitted that he would be up for the job.

"I don't think that's really ever a possibility. I think the possibility, first and foremost, is for audiences to receive this movie and like it, want to see more. And then it's Tom's wiliness to want to do another one, to put together another big movie like this. These aren't easy to put together. So if Paramount and Tom want me to do it, I'd be happy to be a part of it. I'd be up for it... assuming my character doesn't croak. I'm not going to tell ya!"

Would you like to see Renner in, not just one action series, but two?

"Mission: Impossible - Ghost Protocol" hits theaters December 21.
